A Hiking with Mining Reminiscences

Use only Google Maps for navigationn37.17404156, -121.8249669nn**Overview:**nAlmaden Quicksilver County Park is spectacular in natural diversity and a landmark of California history. The park is the site of over 135 years of mining activities and former home to more than 1,800 miners and their families. Since most of the trail is exposed, we’ll start our hiking earlier than usual. *We’ll gather at 9:15 A.M and we’ll start hiking sharp at 9:30 A.M.*nDogs are allowed but they should be on a leash.nIf you would like to know about the trail, please refer tonhttps://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/deep-gulch-english-camp-castillero-and-mine-hill-trail-loopnn**Be Prepared:**nA part of the trail is steep and rocky, and you’d better have boots. Please wear sturdy and comfortable hiking shoes or boots, apply sunscreen, and consider wearing a hat. Don’t forget to pack snacks, ample water, and, most importantly, bring along a positive attitude!nn**Parking:**nNo fees are required.nWhile parking is available at the trailhead, spaces are limited and weekends tend to be quite crowded.
