Walk Overview
Join us for a relaxed morning hike at Edgewood Park & Natural Preserve in Redwood City!
Edgewood has easy rolling trails, shady oak spots, sunny grasslands, and great views of the Bay and nearby hills. There’s also a small education center (museum-style) where you can learn about the park’s plants and wildlife. It’s a calm, pretty place to stretch your legs without going far from town.
We’ll get started at 7:30 am. Please come a few minutes early to find parking, enjoy the cool morning air, and say hello before we head out.
Note
- We intend to go to a local restaurant in Redwood City for brunch after the hike.
- For your comfort and safety, we recommend wearing pants and long-sleeved clothing to help protect against sun exposure and potential insect bites. Don’t forget sunscreen and/or a hat for added sun protection.
- Dogs and other pets are not allowed.
- Do not forget to bring your positive attitude!
Parking
There two parking lots. The first one is closer to the main road but farther away from the trailhead. Please allow extra time to find a spot, as the trailhead may be up to a quarter mile from the starting point.
