Walk Overview
Join us for a refreshing morning hike around Lower Crystal Springs Reservoir in the Bay Area.
This scenic reservoir is part of the San Francisco Peninsula watershed and offers sweeping views of the sparkling water, rolling hills, and surrounding oak and chaparral woodlands. The trail follows gentle terrain with a mix of shaded stretches and open vistas, providing a peaceful escape just minutes from the the city of San Carlos.
We will begin the walk promptly at 8:00 am, so please arrive a few minutes early to have enough time for parking, enjoy the cool morning air and serene lakeside atmosphere.
Note
- We will be serving hot water and black tea, but please bring your own cup. We strongly encourage using reusable cups to help reduce waste and protect the environment. Thank you for supporting a greener gathering!
- Feel free to bring your own coffee or sweeteners to share with others.
- For your comfort and safety, we recommend wearing pants and long-sleeved clothing to help protect against sun exposure and potential insect bites. Don’t forget sunscreen and/or a hat for added sun protection.
- The walk is suitable for strollers but is NOT dog-friendly.
- Do not forget to bring your positive attitude!
Parking
Parking along the street is free but limited. Please allow extra time to find a spot, as the trailhead may be up to a quarter mile from the starting point.
