Hike Overview:
This upcoming Sunday we’ll be hiking the Lake Clementine trail near Cool, California. This beautiful trail passes under Foresthill Bridge, the tallest bridge in California, which towers 730 feet above the North Fork of the American River! 730 feet tall. A quarter-mile into the hike, we will pass by Clark’s pool, which is a warm and popular swimming hole. At the end of the trail, we will see the massive Lake Clementine Dam, with an impressive volume of water coming off of it!
This park is a popular spot for fishing, hiking, and horseback riding, so we will meet many other people on the trail.
We will meet at the gathering location at 9 AM and depart promptly at 9:15 AM. We are starting early because the parking lot can get crowded on weekends.
Dogs are not allowed at Lake Clementine.
