Let’s hike Point Lobos Trail which takes you on a coastal adventure along the gorgeous Pacific Ocean just miles south of Carmel-by-the-Sea. Visitors will encounter a variety of environments, flora, and fauna from lush Monterey pine and Cypress groves to coastal shrub-covered coastline with ocean views to tide pools along the rocky beaches. Expect to see sea lions, shorebirds, and all sorts of ocean wildlife. Point Lobos State Natural Reserve has a network of well-maintained hiking trails. Highlights along this guided walk include Whalers Cove, Bluefish Cove, Sealion Cove, and China Cove.
nMeet at 9:45 am. We’ll start the hike sharp at 10 am. Make sure you are early enough to find a parking spot.nnMeeting Area: Parking entrance, https://goo.gl/maps/Rbp8qrxNt2JugXbU6nnParking: There are 2 ways to park your car. Park at no cost about half a mile to a mile before the entrance, or pay a $10 fee to park your car inside of the park.nnBe prepared: Wear hiking shoes. Near the ocean can be windy and/or foggy, so wear layers. Bring smiles for miles, water, snacks, sunscreen.
