Hike Overview:

Join us for a scenic urban adventure as we make our way through the charming streets of San Francisco to one of the city’s most iconic viewpoints: Twin Peaks. This enjoyable hike combines city exploration with breathtaking panoramic views overlooking San Francisco, the Bay, and the surrounding hills. We’ll begin with a pleasant walk through local neighborhoods before gradually climbing toward the summit. The route is mostly paved, making it accessible for most participants, with only the final quarter-mile consisting of a natural trail leading to the top. Along the way, we’ll make several short stops to catch our breath, enjoy the scenery, and take photographs. Once at the summit, we’ll spend some time soaking in the spectacular 360-degree views before heading back. We will meet at the gathering location at 9:15 AM and depart promptly at 9:30 AM. Please arrive a few minutes early so we can start on time. The climb to Twin Peaks is steady but not overly strenuous. If you are comfortable walking several miles with a gradual uphill incline, you should have no difficulty enjoying this hike.

Parking Lot:

There is ample free street parking near the meeting location. However, parking can become limited later in the morning, so arriving early is recommended.

Public restrooms are available near the summit of Twin Peaks.

Be Prepared:

Please bring:

  • A light windbreaker or jacket (it is often windy and cooler at the summit)
  • At least 1–1.5 liters of water
  • Comfortable walking or hiking shoes (sneakers should be perfectly suitable)
  • A light snack or fruit
  • Hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses

We also recommend dressing in layers, as temperatures at the top can be noticeably cooler than at the start of the hike.
