Forest bathing emphasizes slow walks, sitting, or lying down to deeply observe and appreciate the immediate surroundings to relax and immerse in the present moment, cultivating a deeper relationship with the natural world. This practice encourages a gentle pace, where walking, sitting, or lying down become opportunities to appreciate the immediate surroundings. Engaging all senses—sight, sound, smell, taste, and touch—forest bathing creates a healing environment that fosters mental clarity, inner peace, and a genuine connection with nature. Research has shown that this immersive experience can reduce stress hormones, lower blood pressure, boost immunity, improve mood and cognitive function, and even stimulate creativity. Lasting two to three hours and covering a one mile slow walk, this event offers a restorative escape from daily demands and an invitation to explore nature with an open heart and mind.nn#### What to Expect:nn* Creating deeper relationship with natural spaces through a series of invitations by a Certified Forest Bathing Guiden* A peaceful, slow-paced, and guided walk to feel grounded and centeredn* Opportunities to engage all your senses and deepen your connection to naturen* Reflection time to absorb the benefits of the natural environmentn* Light snacknn**About the Guide**: Madeleine Gerdes is a Certified Nature & Forest Therapy Guide accredited through the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides (ANFT).
