Walk Overview
Join us at Laurelwood Park in San Mateo for a nature hike and a delightful breakfast potluck.
Laurelwood Park spans approximately 225 acres, making it the largest park in San Mateo City. The park opened in 1978, born from local efforts to preserve open space instead of allowing development.
The park features scenic views and natural beauty. Trails offer stellar panoramas of the Peninsula and San Francisco Bay, with a peaceful, wooded atmosphere just minutes from urban areas. We will be starting the hiking promptly at 8.00 am.
Note
- We will be having a POTLUCK breakfast after the hike. If you plan to stay, feel free to bring your own stove for cooking and boiling, your plates and utensils.
- For your comfort and safety, we recommend wearing pants and long-sleeved clothing to help protect against sun exposure and potential insect bites. Don’t forget sunscreen and/or a hat for added sun protection.
- Do not forget to bring your positive attitude!
Parking
Parking along the street is free, but LIMITED!
