The path rises steadily through coastal scrub and cypress stands\, opening to big Pacific Ocean views and rolling ridgelines. Expect classic Pacifica conditions—cool breeze\, possible fog\, and dramatic cliffside vistas. We’ll turn around at a panoramic viewpoint for an enjoyable downhill return to the beach. \nSchedule:We’ll gather at 9:45 am and begin hiking promptly at 10:00 am. Estimated finish: ~1:00 pm. \n \nBe Prepared\n\n\nWear sturdy hiking shoes or boots \n\n\nBring 1–2 liters of water \n\n\nSun & wind protection: sunscreen\, hat\, sunglasses \n\n\nLayers—the coast can be windy and cool even on sunny days \n\n\nSnacks or light energy food \n\n\nOptional: trekking poles for the descent \n\n\nParking\nUse the Gray Whale Cove State Beach lot (see map link above). Parking is limited—carpool if you can.
