SUMMARY:Five Lakes Trail
DESCRIPTION:Event: 249  Distance: 4.6 miles  Route Type: Looping the lakes Total Elevation Gain: 1089 ft  Difficulty: 6   Gathering location: 39.17927\, -120.22983 https://maps.app.goo.gl/W6qBwDhwrS8KoVAQ7  \n \nHike Overview:  \nJoin us for Nature Bloomers’ next adventure as we hike the Five Lakes Trail near North Lake Tahoe in the heart of Olympic Valley. This popular trail takes you into the foothills of the stunning Granite Chief Wilderness\, offering dramatic scenery\, and the peaceful oasis of the Five Lakes. \nThe hike begins along Alpine Meadows Road and climbs steadily through shaded forest and open slopes. Most of the elevation gain is in the first mile\, so a good stretch at the trailhead is encouraged! As you ascend\, look out for panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and glimpses of Lake Tahoe to the south. Once you reach the cluster of alpine lakes\, you’ll find plenty of space to relax\, have a picnic\, or even dip your toes in the refreshing water. The lakes are perfect for swimming\, or simply unwinding in nature’s playground. While the Five Lakes Trail is popular and you may encounter fellow hikers\, the lakes themselves offer pockets of quiet and solitude to recharge. \nWe will meet at the pinned location along Alpine Meadows Road at 9:45 AM and start hiking promptly at 10:00 AM. Please download offline maps\, as cell service can be limited in the area. We look forward to exploring this beautiful trail with you 🙂 \n  \nParking:  \nAmple parking is available near the trailhead\, but carpooling is always encouraged.\n  \nBe Prepared:  \nPlease bring:  \n\nAt least 1.5 liters of water \nComfortable hiking shoes or boots \nSunscreen\, hat\, and light layers (the trail is exposed and can be windy) \nLong-sleeved clothing or pants to protect from sun\, bugs\, and poison oak \nSnacks and a positive attitude! \n\nLegal Disclaimers:  \nBy voluntarily joining us for any event\, you hereby RELEASE and DISCHARGE Nature Bloomers’ organizers\, hosts\, and participants from any and all liabilities\, claims\, demands\, and causes of action arising in whole or in part from our events.
