This hike is an enjoyable jaunt around the less visited southern part of Stevens creek county park. It features expansive views of the surrounding hillsides as well as typical fauna found among the lovely oak covered hillsides. Coyotes are frequently seen in the park.
Most of the trails are well maintained fire roads\, and about 70% of the hike is in the shade. We will take a short break about half way through the hike.

Be Prepared: Please prepare with layered clothing\, sunscreen and/or hat\, sturdy hiking shoes/boots and at least two liters of water. There is an outhouse at the trailhead but no water. This coming Sunday we will be hiking the Dipsea Trail near Stinson Beach. The loop descends from coastal bluffs with spectacular ocean views\, through surprisingly lush mixed-species woodland\, into a narrow canyon filled with lush old-growth redwood forest.
