Our journey will commence by ascending Panoramic Hill from the Claremont Hotel\, along the picturesque Panoramic Ridge via the Upper Strawberry Canyon Fire Trail\, leading to Chaparral Peak. From there\, we’ll make our way down the new fire trail below Grizzly Peak to the lower Strawberry Canyon trail. This hike will showcase stunning views of San Francisco\, Oakland\, and the Bay\, set against a backdrop of eucalyptus\, pine\, and oak forests. We’ll be meeting at the parking lot at 9:30 am and departing promptly at 9:45. Don’t miss out on this unforgettable adventure!nn**Be Prepared:**nThis hike is generally considered a challenging route and it takes an average of 3 h 30 min to complete. This hike has several steep climbs & decent segments punctuated by rolling fire roads. You can expect to come across other people while exploring the area\, as it is a popular spot for birding\, hiking\, and running. You are welcome to bring your dogs along\, and they can be off-leash in certain areas. Please wear layered clothing\, sturdy and comfortable hiking shoes/boots\, sunscreen and/or hat. Bring snacks\, plenty of water\, and a good attitude!nn**Parking:**nAlthough parking is available on Stonewall and Tanglewood Drives\, spaces are limited\, and weekends can be particularly crowded. To avoid parking issues\, we highly recommend carpooling to the event. We’ll be gathering at the parking lot at 9:00 am and leaving sharp at 9:15 am.nnA CDFW Lands Pass must be in possession by each visitor who is 16 years of age or older\, unless you are carrying your own valid California hunting or fishing license. The pass can be purchased for **$5.66 per person** at [https://www.ca.wildlifelicense.com/internetsales/Sales/ItemSelection](https://www.ca.wildlifelicense.com/internetsales/Sales/ItemSelection); it is pretty straight forward.
