DESCRIPTION:Event: #250  \nTime: 11:00 AM  \nDistance: About three miles  \nElevation Gain: Negligible  \nDifficulty: 3 out of 10  \nGathering Location: 37°17’59.2″N 122°24’21.7″W\, https://maps.app.goo.gl/Dd19nNch8rdhXVQt8  \n \nWalk Overview \nJoin us for a peaceful walk along the beautiful shores of Pomponio State Beach\, where the ocean stretches out on one side and dramatic cliffs rise on the other. This out-and-back beach walk offers a unique experience as we walk directly on the sand. \nSince the terrain is sandy\, we recommend walking barefoot for comfort and connection with nature. Please bring your shoes along in case you prefer to wear them at any point. \nAfter our 3-mile round-trip walk\, we’ll return to the gathering location and enjoy some relaxed time together by the ocean (if you’d like to stay longer). You’re warmly invited to bring tea\, snacks\, lunch\, drinks\, a beach mat\, towel\, or even a beach tent (keep them in your car until we return from the hike). You’re welcome to bring games\, volleyball\, frisbee\, or anything else you’d enjoy. \nDogs are not permitted at Pomponio State Beach. \nBonfires are not allowed\, including portable fire pits or open flames of any kind. \nBe Prepared \n\nFor your comfort and safety\, we recommend wearing pants and long-sleeved clothing to help protect against sun exposure and potential insect bites. Don’t forget sunscreen and/or a hat for added sun protection.\nWe also suggest bringing at least 1.5 liters of water\, snacks or light refreshments\, and of course\, a positive attitude!\n\nParking \n\nParking is available at the beach for $8 (cash only).
